Tom started his real estate career in 1973, working for the federal government in New York City, NY and later in San Francisco, CA. His accomplishments during his years with the federal government were varied and extensive and included simple as well as complex real estate and construction projects throughout the US, Canada, Europe and the Pacific Territories. Tom left federal employment in 1981, starting his own consulting practice, providing expert advice on construction and real estate matters. In 1989, Tom obtained his California real estate broker’s license as well as his general contractor’s license.
Tom’s extensive real estate and construction background has prepared him well and allows him to skillfully represent clients on a variety of property types – vacant land, office buildings, condominiums, multi-family projects and single family homes – enabling them to attain their short and long term real estate goals. Tom especially enjoys projects that involve complex contractual matters because it allows him to utilize the full range of his experience and expertise. Through the years Tom has established a national network of contacts and he continues to represent property owners throughout the US, as well as internationally. Tom is a member of INRELCO, International Relocation Consultants.
Tom can provide brokerage or consulting services for both residential and commercial type properties. His first love is being able to utilize all his talents - both in construction as well as real estate. This desire to use all his talents has led him naturally to projects involving new construction and/or extensive repair and alteration. Some of his oldest clients and friends are builders and developers of real estate projects.
Tom has a keen understanding of real estate as an investment. He has combined this expertise with his background in federal and state government leased projects and has created a “niche” market, brokering federal and state government leased properties for investor clients.
Contra Costa and Alameda Counties, CA with special emphasis on Lamorinda (Lafayette, Moraga and Orinda) and Walnut Creek.
Tom has been a Lafayette resident since 1979. Tom and his wife, Susan, generously donate their time and talents to their church, the local schools and their community for a variety of projects.
Nationwide and International
Tom continues to represent investor clients, providing them with expert and timely advice and assistance with regard to acquiring, disposing or trading investment properties locally as well as across the country. Tom also manages several local family owned investment properties.
